Why do we sometimes close the lifts when it is very windy?
Sometimes it is so windy that it is dangerous to be up on the mountain. There is also a risk that the cable will come off the track or that the anchors will get stuck in the poles, etc.
For safety reasons, we then close the lifts. Keep in mind that the wind can vary greatly in the valley and at the top, so always follow the instructions of the operating personnel.
