May 29, 2024 Sofie Andersson steps down as CEO of Fjätervålen
After six years on the board and four years as CEO, Sofie Andersson is now leaving Fjätervålen. Sofie has resigned for personal reasons and her last day of employment will be November 14.

2023-09-30 We are expanding our range of activities
We are expanding our program offering for the coming winter. Daniel Modigh and his company Särna Adventure are establishing their wilderness experiences in Fjätervålen, and Sälen Hund och Aktivitet will be offering dog sledding tours here at Fjätervålen.

2022-09-29 Free ski bus in the Idre area
From December 23 to April 15, it will be possible to travel by bus free of charge between Fjätervålen, Idre Fjäll, Idre Himmelfjäll, and Grövelsjön. The initiative is backed by Destinationsutveckling Idre (DIAB), with partners Idre Fjäll, Idre Himmelfjäll, Fjätervålen, and members of the Grövelsjöfjällen tourist association, in collaboration with Älvdalen Municipality.

2022-05-24 Idre Day with questions and optimism for the future

The major tourist destinations in Älvdalen, Fjätervålen, Idre Fjäll, Idre Himmelfjäll, and Grövelsjöfjällen gathered when Destinationsutveckling Idre AB invited them to Idre Day. One of the purposes was to see how the major investments in the Idre area match the community’s ability and willingness to act.
