Work seasonally in the mountains
Want to experience the mountains for real? Take the opportunity to work a winter season in Fjätervålen, Dalarna’s best skiing destination. We are a small, family-run resort with six full-time employees and around 35 staff during the high season.
We have now finished recruiting for the 2025-2026 winter season, but you are welcome to apply next year.
Fjätervålen as a workplace and facility
As an employee with us, you are part of the facility and a team of around 30 people who work together during the winter. We are a mix of ages and experiences, and include both newcomers and locals from Idre and Särna. Most of us are passionate about snow and skiing, but above all about creating a great guest experience and working together as a team.
Fjätervålen is 1,002 meters above sea level and is a ski resort in northern Dalarna, about 20 km northeast of Idre. The ski resort is privately owned. The slopes are FIS-classified in both GS and SL for international competitions. There are four lifts, eighteen slopes, and a cottage village with about 260 cottages. The longest slope is 3 km long and has a vertical drop of 317 meters. There are also 50 km of beautiful cross-country trails. In addition to slopes, trails, and a restaurant, we also run a ski shop/ski rental, a grocery store, and a ski school.
